This program pays 20% of their sales. E-kamus versi 5.02 sells for RM90 so that translates to RM18 per sale brought in by an affiliate.

Other than that, 2nd-tier sale will get 5% commision. So if somebody who joins under you (your downline) manage to bring in a purchase, you get RM9. However, they only send out payment for every RM50 accumulated.

Usability
The affiliate control panel does not have referral statistics thus you wouldn't be able to track where or which websites your customer clicks come from.

They pay using either paypal or Maybank account. This is quite okay because most publishers (people like you and me) would have either paypal or Maybank account by now if you have been online often enough to start publishing ads for money.

They have some small collection of ads, in which in my personal opinion are not eye catching enough to get people to click.

Lunarpages: webhosting promises the moon

This award winning webhosting company pays a handsome USD65(about RM200) per new hosting sign-up for first tier commision. They also have a second-tier commision program. You will get USD5 for every sign-up from 2-levels of affiliates who join under you. However, tracking the downline is not very obvious in the control panel.

Once the the new hosting account you referred is active for 30 days, they issue a cheque on the 16th of the month.

Usability
Their affiliate control panel has sections for checking your first tier statistics and also a list of banners to use.

The drawback is their payment disbursement method. Malaysian's can only get the payment sent in a form of cheque. Today (in June) I am still waiting for my first cheque to clear after more than 1 month deposited to my Bumiputera Commerce Bank account, from my commision of February. OK, the delay could be from BCB's side.

'Idea Bisnes Luar Biasa' - not your ordinary ebook

Idea Bisnes Luar Biasa is a Pay-Per-Sale program pays you RM10 for each sale you brought in. That is about 20% of the total revenue. I personally think that not very high in order to motivate people to sell intangible products such as ebook. Many people know that ebooks don't cost much after the initial startup cost of writing, setting up the system, hosting etc. Paying atleast 40% usually gets more people to jump on the idea bandwagon but that shouldn't be the only measure.

2nd-tier Commission
What I like very much about this particular affiliate program is that it has a 2nd-Tier commision scheme. It means that you will get paid if you recruit another affiliate and the affiliate brings in sale. You will become the upline once you recruit a new affiliate and will receive 50% commision for the sale of your direct downline. In other words, you will get RM5 for each ebook your downline sells. Basically you can choose to become a recruiter or just a product seller.

Usability
The affiliate control panel is very comprehensive compared to many Malaysian-based I've seen. The navigation is clean with all the related menus grouped on the right side of the panel. You can check both first and second level statistics. The incoming traffic log would be useful to track the success rate of your campaign on certain websites.

There are also a variety of banners and links that could help you with your promotion but the quality of the advertisement such as banners could be improved further. More banners that attract the eyes would be a great addition to the already huge selection of codes and images.

Above all, this program itself is another good idea to try!

Tsunami Wang Phenomenon

Founded by an innovative Malaysian - Mohd Akmal bin Ariff, Formula Tsunami Wang Luar Biasa is one of the biggest phenomenon of Malaysia's affiliate program. The product itself is based on the basic human desire - money and sex. Just kidding. There were no sex involved.

What it pays
It pays a handsome RM20 for every sale you direct to the site. That is a whopping 40% of the revenue of the ebook itself! No wonder it is so successful.

Program Usability
The quality of the ebook aside, the affiliate program itself is so easy to use. You sign-up with no money down. Yes you don't even have to buy the ebook. No installation or setup fee. You are just a simple sales agent. Period.

You sign-up using the JADI AFFILIATE! link at the bottom of page and start advertising on Yahoo! groups, mailing list, and some even paid for advertisement space on major portals.

You get paid twice monthly to almost all major banks in Malaysia including:
1. Malayan Banking Berhad (Maybank)
2. Bumiputera Commerce Bank (BCB)
3. Public Bank
4. Allianze Bank
5. RHB Bank
6. Hong Leong Bank
7. Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad

Downside
Sadly there are no multi-level commissioning available. There are no profit sharing for refering a new affiliate. Thus only profit from your direct sale will get you RM20. In other words, if the person you refer don't buy the ebook but opt to be an affiliate, you get nothing.

To make matters worst, the popularity of this program will eventually benefit only the early adopters of the program. The people who joined later will see advertisers of this affiliate program saturating Malaysian cyberspace. At this point of writing, it would be challenging to find a user who has never heard about TsunamiWang. But don't get me wrong, I still get 1 or 2 sales commissions per month by doing nothing. I just leave the enticing banners on my site such as this one.

Adsense? It makes Malaysian sense

AdSense, an advertising program run by Google, is the mother of all affiliate programs. This affiliate program don't require you to sell products or subscriptions. You just need to have some web pages to put the Adsense ads. You customers are those people who click on those ads. Sounds easy right?

Nonetheless, this program pays Malaysians by cheque on monthly basis (when your account balance exceeds USD100). Anybody can enroll in this program to enable text and image advertisements on their web pages and blogs. Google utilizes its search technology to serve ads based on website content, the user's geographical location, and other factors.

Usability
Google is the master in web usability. They have been improving the Adsense control panel since the start of this program. You can track revenue, hits and more from this control panel.

Downside
At the moment, Malaysians are not able to display ads on Malay-language pages most of the times.

Versatile
Other than pay-per-click payment program, they also have a referral program. A Google AdSense referral is counted when a publisher, who has never previously enrolled in Google AdSense, creates an account and earns at least $100.00 within 180 days of sign-up. The referred publisher must be eligible for payment to qualify as a successful referral.

Where are the Malaysian affiliate programs?

It is not easy being in Malaysia and wanting to join an online affiliate program. Back when I was in the US, I can effortlessly move in and out of the online marketplace and everything falls in place so smoothly. When I got back to Malaysia, trying to make money online again was quite frustrating in the beginning.

The reason I created this blog is obvious.
